Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the tāstium mobile application ("tāstium", the "App"). The App is provided by Probably Edible Ltd ("we", "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

01The service

tāstium is a voice-led cooking assistant. You provide a recipe — by link, photo, or text — and the App parses it and guides you through cooking it. Recipe parsing, narration, and other AI-generated guidance are powered by automated systems and may not always be accurate; you remain responsible for safe food handling, cooking temperatures, allergens, and your own judgement in the kitchen.

02Accounts

You sign in using Apple, Google, or a one-time email code provided through our authentication provider. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. You must be at least the age of digital consent in your country to use the App.

03Subscriptions and billing

• Auto-renewing subscription. Paid features may be offered as an auto-renewable subscription purchased through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Prices. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. We may change prices for future periods with notice as required by the App Store.
• Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple; refund requests are subject to Apple's policies.

04Fair use

Monthly recipe allowances, and any "unlimited" option, are intended for normal personal cooking use. Because each coached recipe draws on automated transcription, voice, and AI services that cost us money to run, we may apply reasonable limits, slow, or suspend access where usage is automated, resold, shared across several people, or so far beyond ordinary personal use that it degrades the service for other cooks or materially raises our running costs. Where practical we will let you know first.

tāstium is an early-stage product and is still in beta. Free allowances are offered on that basis: we may change the number of free recipes, the size of allowances, and how usage is measured or limited as the product develops. Any change to a paid plan takes effect for future billing periods, not ones you have already paid for.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including not to:

• upload content you do not have the right to use;
• post content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or infringing, or that harasses other users;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• use the App for any unlawful purpose.

06Your content and the community

Recipes and other content you add remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to process that content to provide the service to you (for example, to parse a recipe and generate narration). Some features let you share content publicly — such as your profile, dish photos, and comments — and that content is visible to other users; for shared content you grant us a licence to host and display it within the App. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

07Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and during beta may be incomplete or unreliable. We do not warrant that recipe parsing, timings, or guidance are error-free or suitable for any particular dietary or medical need. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the App.

08Apple

These Terms are between you and Probably Edible Ltd, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and to the extent these Terms apply to your use of the App obtained through the App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them.

09Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

10Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
